Tapped Out is a 2014 action-packed film directed by Allan Ungar, starring Michael Biehn, Cody Hackman, and Krzysztof Soszynski. The film introduces the audience to the story of Michael Shaw (Cody Hackman), a young man whose life turns upside down after he is involved in a deadly altercation with a ruthless fighter. To much more surprise, this fight leads him into the world of mixed martial arts (MMA), where he is trained by his grandfather, Master Deacon (Michael Biehn), to fight for justice, redemption, and personal honor.

The movie opens with a quick introduction of Michael Shaw, who is, in addition to being a student, a talented boxer. However, his life changes drastically one night after a fight breaks out during his sister's wedding. As a result of the fight, Michael's opponent is left critically injured, and Michael is sentenced to five years in prison.

After serving his sentence, Michael finds himself back in his hometown, where he discovers that his parents are dead, and his grandfather owns a mixed martial arts gym. Despite his martial arts background, Michael is reluctant to fight, but he eventually agrees to enter the ring after witnessing the abuse of several gym members by a renowned MMA fighter named Erik (Krzysztof Soszynski) and his entourage.

Michael trains hard with his grandfather, learning the various techniques of MMA and winning several matches along the way. However, he soon realizes that his fights with Erik go far beyond the ring and are part of a more significant conspiracy aimed at controlling the world of MMA. Michael and his team decide to take a stand against Erik and his team, putting their lives at risk.

The film has several themes, including redemption, forgiveness, and finding purpose in life. Michael's journey from being a boxer to becoming an MMA fighter mirrors his personal struggles as he tries to move past his mistakes and create a better future for himself. His grandfather, who is a martial arts master, plays a significant role in his transformation, teaching him the physical and spiritual aspects of the sport.

The film also explores the darker side of the MMA world, highlighting corruption and the exploitation of fighters for profit. The plot takes several twists and turns, keeping the audience engaged throughout the film. The fight scenes are impressively choreographed, and the performances by the cast, particularly Cody Hackman, make the film exciting to watch.

Overall, Tapped Out is an engaging and inspiring movie that combines action, drama, and martial arts. It has something for everyone, from those who enjoy fighting games to those who enjoy a good story. Michael's journey of self-discovery and redemption is relatable, making the film an inspiring watch for anyone who has faced challenges and setbacks in life. With a well-written script, impressive fight scenes and excellent performances, Tapped Out is a must-watch for action movie enthusiasts.
