Sweet Movie is a 1974 surrealist movie which mixes realistic and non-realistic images to create a mosaic of art and human emotion. The film follows the story of two young beauty queens. One of the young beauty queens is silent and withdrawn, and the film follows her story of withdrawal and ultimate descent into madness. The other beauty queen is an outgoing socialite, who lures in men with her beauty and allure to have sex and ultimately kill them. The film examines the two halves of the human psyche, the outgoing and withdrawn sides.
