In this mystery thriller, a young man from London named Paul goes in search of his history when he travels to the village of Milestone in Nova Scotia, the place where his father was last spotted years ago. Paul has come to find out what drew his father to this desolate community. There he meets a beautiful young woman named Rauchine to whom he quickly becomes attracted. Paul's presence in Milestone offers Rauchine a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to finally escape the harsh and bitter conditions she has known since her childhood, confronting her with some hard to make decisions.
