The movie tells the story of Susan Slade (Connie Stevens), a young girl who is sent to live with her aunt and uncle in a remote coastal town in Oregon after a tragic accident claims the life of her father. As Susan adjusts to her new life, she falls in love with a handsome young man named Wells Corbett (Grant Williams).
