Superfast is a 2015 American comedy film that parodies the Fast and Furious franchise. The movie follows the story of a law enforcement officer, Lucas White (Alex Ashbaugh), who is assigned to go undercover and bring down an illegal street racing ring. To do so, he joins a racing crew led by Vin Serento (Dale Pavinski) and his sister Jordana (Lili Mirojnick).
From the beginning, the movie sets the tone as a spoof, with exaggerated characters and scenes that make fun of the original Fast and Furious series. Vin Serento, the main character, is a parody of Vin Diesel's Dominic Toretto, with his deep voice, bald head, and muscular physique. Jordana, his sister, is a parody of Mia Toretto, portrayed in the Fast and Furious movies by Jordana Brewster.
The movie is full of ridiculous car chases and high-speed races, where the characters perform stunts that are impossible in real life. The races take place in absurd locations, including a grocery store, a golf course, and a hospital. The participants drive a variety of over-the-top cars, such as a Lada Riva covered in Swarovski crystals, a pink Hummer, and a school bus with an engine in the back.
Apart from the racing scenes, the movie is also full of pop culture references and jokes. For example, Lucas White's boss is named Detective Johnson (a nod to the actor Dwayne Johnson, who played a law enforcement officer in several Fast and Furious movies), and his partner is Blaine Moochmore (a jab at Brian O'Conner, the character played by Paul Walker).
The plot of Superfast is simple and predictable, but that is not the point of the movie. Instead, it focuses on creating a fun and ridiculous atmosphere, where the audience is invited to laugh at the characters and their antics. The movie also features several celebrity cameos, including the rapper Lil Jon and the football player Terrell Owens.
Overall, Superfast is a cheesy, over-the-top parody that does not take itself seriously. If you are a fan of the Fast and Furious movies and do not mind seeing them being made fun of, you will probably enjoy Superfast. However, if you are looking for a serious and well-crafted action movie, this is not for you.
Superfast is a 2015 comedy. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 4.2.
