Street Fighter is a 1994 action movie directed by Steven E. de Souza and starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, Raúl Juliá, and Ming-Na Wen. The film is based on the popular video game of the same name, and it is set in the fictional country of Shadaloo, somewhere in southeast Asia. The plot of the movie revolves around General M. Bison (Raúl Juliá), a ruthless dictator who has taken control of Shadaloo and its people. In an effort to overthrow Bison's reign, the United States government sends in Colonel William Guile (Jean-Claude Van Damme) and his team of soldiers to put an end to Bison's evil plans.

Guile teams up with a group of rebels led by the beautiful Chun-Li (Ming-Na Wen), and together, they plot to take down Bison and his army. In addition to Guile and Chun-Li, the movie features several other characters from the video game, including Ryu, Ken, Sagat, and Dhalsim.

Throughout the movie, viewers are treated to some intense fight scenes, with Van Damme's impressive martial arts skills on full display. The fight choreography is excellent, and the action is fast-paced and exciting. There are also plenty of explosions and gun battles, adding to the overall excitement and thrills of the movie.

One of the standout performances in the movie comes from Raúl Juliá, who plays Bison with such gusto and enthusiasm that you can't help but be entertained by his every move. He's a formidable villain, and his scenes with Van Damme are some of the best in the movie.

Ming-Na Wen is also excellent as Chun-Li, adding some much-needed heart to the movie. Her character is both strong and vulnerable, and she has some fantastic fight scenes of her own. Van Damme, meanwhile, delivers a solid performance as Guile, although his character is somewhat overshadowed by the larger-than-life villains.

The special effects in the movie are a bit dated by today's standards, but they were quite impressive for their time. The filmmakers did an excellent job of bringing the iconic video game characters to life on the big screen, and the movie's colorful, stylized visuals are still a feast for the eyes.

While Street Fighter may not be the most critically acclaimed movie ever made, it's still a lot of fun to watch. It's a nostalgic blast from the past, and fans of the video game will appreciate seeing their favorite characters brought to life in such an entertaining way. The movie's over-the-top action and memorable characters make it a must-see for any fan of '90s action movies.

Street Fighter is a 1994 action movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 42 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 4.1 and a MetaScore of 34.
