Strawberry Fields is a drama about a Japanese-American teen growing up in the seventies. While still grieving the death of her younger sister, Irene learns that her family was imprisoned in an internment camp during World War II. She runs away from home with her boyfriend to explore her family's past. This is a film about the lasting consequences of the internment system on Japanese Americans and the way family history shapes the individual.
