Spitfire is a 1995 action-thriller film directed by Albert Pyun, known for his work on The Sword and the Sorcerer and Cyborg. The movie features an all-star cast with Lance Henriksen in the lead role, along with Debra Jo Fondren and Sarah Douglas. The story revolves around Clayton "Clay" Young, a retired fighter pilot who is struggling to adapt to civilian life after being discharged from the military. Clay, played by Lance Henriksen, suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and an alcohol addiction. He spends most of his days drinking alone, reminiscing about his days as a pilot and his love for combat.

One day, Clay receives a mysterious call from a woman named Elizabeth "Lizzy" Darden, played by Debra Jo Fondren. Lizzy offers Clay a job as a pilot for a secret mission, which she claims could potentially save millions of lives. Clay is hesitant at first, but his curiosity gets the best of him and he agrees to meet with Lizzy for more details.

Lizzy explains that a group of terrorists has hijacked a high-tech military airplane known as the Spitfire, capable of flying at supersonic speeds and carrying deadly weapons. The terrorists are threatening to use the plane to attack a major city if their demands are not met. Lizzy's team, which includes Sarah Douglas' character, is planning to infiltrate the plane and stop the terrorists from carrying out their plan.

Clay is convinced to join the mission and becomes the pilot of a fighter jet that will escort the Spitfire. The team is successful in boarding the plane and taking out the terrorists, but things quickly take a turn for the worse when they discover that there is a rogue missile on the plane, set to launch at any moment. With only minutes to spare, Clay must use his skills as a pilot to save the day and prevent a massive disaster.

The film features impressive aerial stunts and action sequences, reminiscent of classic military movies like Top Gun and Iron Eagle. The cinematography is spectacular, capturing the intense dogfights and high-speed chases in stunning detail.

The performances by the cast are top-notch, particularly Lance Henriksen's portrayal of a troubled veteran struggling to find meaning in life after the military. Debra Jo Fondren also shines as the enigmatic Lizzy, providing a strong female presence in the male-dominated world of military action movies.

Overall, Spitfire is a thrilling ride filled with adrenaline-pumping action and suspense. It's a movie that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish, and a worthy addition to any fan of military action films.

Spitfire is a 1995 action movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 34 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 4.6.
