Syria-born Ashade Mouhana has a lot to deal with. Besides being a cab driver in post 9/11 New York, he has legal troubles, he must care for his toddler nephew and sister-in-law, plus his brother was charged with suspected terrorism by homeland security. Ashade's escalating problems find him often angry and frustrated. One night Ahsade picks up Phoebe in his cab and drives her to a destination (she is spying on her ex-husband). During their drive Ashade shares his problems with Phoebe. Bitter Phoebe, with problems of her own due to a divorce, listens to Ashade's tragic problems.

The interested Phoebe offers to help the distressed cab driver and Ashade timidly accepts it. Shortly Phoebe’s emotional instability becomes apparent and Ashade sees her upsetting behavior. Ashade now realizes that he has made a dangerous error by placing his trust in her.

Seeing that Phoebe has a dangerous side, Ashade attempts to flee their friendship that she seemed to force upon him. However Phoebe responds back using spite, causing Ashade more chaos in his life. Ashade finds himself forced to take Pheobe’s help but in doing so, he learns about her dim secret.

Sorry, Haters is a 2005 drama with a runtime of 1 hour and 23 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.2 and a MetaScore of 43.
