Son of Flubber is a 1963 American comedy movie directed by Robert Stevenson and produced by Walt Disney. It is the sequel to the successful movie 'The Absent-Minded Professor' (1961), and it was released on January 16, 1963. The movie stars Fred MacMurray as the loveable and absent-minded professor Ned Brainard, Nancy Olson as his supportive and practical wife, Betsy Brainard, and Keenan Wynn as the ruthless and hilarious Alonzo Hawk, who tries to take advantage of Ned's invention for his own selfish purposes.

The movie opens with Ned Brainard again inventing something new, skyrocketing rubber that he calls "Flubber." This time, Ned has improved the formula and made it even more powerful. However, he faces fresh challenges as his past experiments with Flubber have led him to some trouble in his personal and professional life.

Ned's biggest challenge is getting funding for his scientific experiments as no one trusts him to finish anything. He then discovers that Flubber can be used to create an anti-gravity formula that can be used to improve every aspect of human life. He begins experimenting with the new formula, but his problems continue as his wife is frustrated with his lack of focus on their business, and he faces problems of making the loan payments.

As the evil Alonzo Hawk tries to buy the loan on Brainard's business, Ned discovers that Flubber, with a little modification, can make objects and people float. He uses the power of the anti-gravity formula to create a flying car, a basketball team that can't stop jumping, and even an entire house that floats, among other creations.

While these inventions bring a lot of attention and success, they also bring problems. For instance, Ned's basketball team can't stop jumping, and they risk being disqualified from their next game; the flying car causes chaos in the town, including ruining a wedding; and the floating house gets stuck in the treetops.

Throughout all of this, Ned's wife, Betsy, remains supportive of his work, even when it affects their personal life. Despite being frustrated with him, she does everything she can to help him when his inventions go awry.

Eventually, Alonzo Hawk realizes the potential of the anti-gravity formula and tries to steal it from Ned. Meanwhile, various mishaps continue to happen, and Ned discovers that his formula has a few flaws that he needs to fix before he can use it to make people fly.

The movie builds to a hilarious and chaotic climax, as all of the various characters come together in one dramatic scene. The final scene offers a satisfying conclusion to the story, tying off all the loose ends and leaving the viewers with an exciting conclusion.

Son of Flubber is a delightful comedy movie that offers a lighthearted and entertaining look at the possibilities of science and human imagination. It is an excellent film for families looking for a fun and engaging movie to watch together. It remains a popular classic more than half a century after its release, demonstrating its enduring appeal and relevance for modern audiences.
