Smokin' Aces is a 2006 crime thriller movie that follows the story of a notorious Las Vegas magician and mobster named Buddy "Aces" Israel (Jeremy Piven), who has turned into an FBI informant. In exchange for his cooperation, Israel is offered a deal to enter a witness protection program. However, before he can accept the offer, he places a bounty on his head by promising a $1 million reward to anyone who can kill him. This attracts the attention of a group of hitmen and assassins, who converge on his penthouse suite in Lake Tahoe, where Israel is hiding.

The movie opens with a montage of news reports playing on a TV screen showing the rise of Israel's criminal empire, and his eventual capture by the FBI. As Israel is debriefed by an FBI agent (Andy Garcia), the audience learns that he had made a deal with the FBI to testify and bring down the mob boss he had been working for. However, news of his cooperation quickly spreads, and the mob puts out a hit on him. In response, the FBI places him in a secure location, but he manages to escape and flees to Lake Tahoe, where he puts out the bounty on his head.

As the hitmen converge on Lake Tahoe, the audience is introduced to a colorful cast of characters, each with their own reasons for wanting to claim the reward. These include the sadistic and flamboyant neo-Nazi Tremor Brothers (Chris Pine, Kevin Durand, and Maury Sterling), who are known for their reckless and violent behavior. There's also the expert sniper Lazlo Soot (Tommy Flanagan), who is hired by a mysterious client to take out Israel. The lethal and seductive duo of Georgia Sykes (Alicia Keys) and Sharice Watters (Taraji P. Henson) also make an appearance, as well as the ruthless assassin, the Swede (Peter Berg), who will stop at nothing to claim the reward.

As the hitmen close in on Israel's location, a team of FBI agents led by Richard Messner (Ryan Reynolds) and Donald Carruthers (Ray Liotta) race against time to apprehend Israel before the assassins can get to him. However, tensions soon rise between Messner and Carruthers, and the situation quickly spirals out of control. As the body count rises and the bullets fly, the audience is left wondering whether Israel will survive the night, and whether anyone will be left standing by the end of the movie.

Smokin' Aces is a stylish and fast-paced movie that delivers on its promise of non-stop action and suspense. With its cast of colorful characters and intricate plot, the movie offers a thrilling and unpredictable ride that will keep the audience on the edge of their seats until the very end. Packed with adrenaline-fueled gunfights, explosive set-pieces, and pulse-pounding music, Smokin' Aces is a must-see for fans of the crime thriller genre.
