When his father was gunned down by the police in 1993 in Colombia, Juan and his family fled to Argentina for safety. Since his family was well-known in the drug trade in Colombia, Juan Pablo changed his name to Sebastián Marroquín in order to protect his family. After years of hiding, he and his family came out to help end the violence in Colombia. They felt a responsibility in what the late family member had done, and wanted to make a change. Sins of My Father is a movie that shows that it's never too late to make a difference.
