Segunda Mano is a Filipino horror-thriller movie from 2011, directed by Joyce E. Bernal, and starring Kris Aquino, Dingdong Dantes, and Angelica Panganiban. The movie starts with Mabel (Kris Aquino), a well-known antique collector, arriving in a new town with her daughter, Helena (Bimby Aquino Yap). Mabel has just separated from her husband and is looking for a fresh start in life. She buys an old dresser at an auction and takes it home, where she discovers a strange figure of a lady behind one of the mirrors. Unknowingly, bringing home the antique dresser will unravel a series of strange events that will put their lives in danger.

Meanwhile, Ivan (Dingdong Dantes), a macho cop, investigates the brutal murder of a young woman in the same town. The victim is discovered in a dumpsite, and the only clue to her murder is the same antique dresser that Mabel bought at the auction. Ivan began to suspect Mabel as the owner of the dresser and immediately interrogated her.

Mabel denies any involvement with the murder and becomes curious about the body found in the dumpsite. She realizes the figure behind the mirror is the same young woman who was brutally murdered. Mabel and Ivan join forces to investigate the murder and find the killer.

As they delve deeper into the murder case, more secrets are revealed, and they find out that other people have also bought items from the same auction. The murders seemed to be linked to the items bought from the auction, particularly those that have mirrors. The antique items all have a dark history, and whoever buys them will be haunted by their bloody past.

As Mabel and Ivan dig deeper, they encounter more terrifying experiences, and uncover things that they shouldn't have. The antique dresser alone has many hidden secrets, dark mirrors, and images that seem to point to the killer's true identity.

In the end, Mabel and Ivan work together to unravel the mystery behind the murders and ultimately solve the case.

Segunda Mano relies heavily on suspense and scares to keep the audience on the edge of their seats. Kris Aquino's character, Mabel, brings an element of mystery to the story, while Dingdong Dantes's portrayal of Ivan as a macho cop is intense and driven.

The movie's cinematography is well-done and is complemented by the spooky and eerie scoring, which provides an ominous atmosphere to the film. The representation of horror elements in the movie is worth recognising, such as distinct inclusion of mirror horror and eerie sounds that add up to the movie's overall haunted feel.

Segunda Mano is a competent horror-thriller that boasts a captivating story, great acting, and effective scares, making it a must-watch film for Filipino horror enthusiasts.

Segunda Mano is a 2011 horror movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 47 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 4.6.
