Seaside is a French dramatic film that centers around the inhabitants of a small town on the the Bay of Somme. The coastal town is packed with tourists and part-time residents in the summer but has few year-round inhabitants that struggle through the winter. Paul is a life guard in the summer and a grocery worker by winter. Rose, Paul's mother, is a gambler no matter what time of year it is. Marie, his girlfriend, works in a local factory. Marie watches the tourists and becomes more interested in their differences in the lives they lead.
