Sassy Sue is a western comedy film released in 1973, directed by Bethel Buckalew and starring John Tull, Colleen Brennan, and Patrick Wright. The movie follows a young cowboy named Jesse who seeks to win the heart of a beautiful saloon girl named Sassy Sue. Jesse soon finds himself caught in a love triangle with Sassy Sue and the town's most feared outlaw, Big Diablo.

The movie is set in the Wild West, where Jesse (John Tull) is a cowboy who works on a ranch in a small town. He is known as a ladies' man and spends most of his free time trying to charm the ladies of the town. However, he is deeply smitten with Sassy Sue (Colleen Brennan), a beautiful and independent-minded saloon girl who has no time for cowboys like him.

One day, Jesse decides to take a chance and asks Sassy Sue out on a date. She agrees, and they spend a romantic evening together. However, their date is interrupted by the arrival of Big Diablo (Patrick Wright), the town's most notorious outlaw. Diablo is immediately taken with Sassy Sue and begins to woo her, much to the chagrin of Jesse, who is determined to win her heart.

As Jesse and Diablo vie for Sassy Sue's affection, they become embroiled in a number of comedic misadventures. They end up in various places including a Chinese laundry, a Mexican cantina, and an Indian village. Along the way, they encounter a colorful cast of characters, including a group of Native Americans and a band of bumbling bank robbers.

Throughout their escapades, Jesse and Diablo are constantly trying to outdo each other in a bid to win Sassy Sue's heart. However, as the situation becomes more and more absurd, Jesse begins to question whether his pursuit of Sassy Sue is really worth it.

The movie is a lighthearted and fun romp through the Wild West, with plenty of slapstick humor and goofy antics. The performances of the three leads are all highly enjoyable, with John Tull bringing plenty of charm and charisma to the role of Jesse. Colleen Brennan is also a standout as Sassy Sue, bringing a feisty and independent spirit to the character.

Despite its somewhat simplistic plot and broad humor, Sassy Sue is an entertaining and enjoyable movie that is sure to delight fans of western comedies. With its memorable characters, ridiculous plot twists, and infectious sense of fun, it is a movie that is hard not to enjoy. If you are looking for a lighthearted and entertaining adventure through the Wild West, then Sassy Sue is definitely worth checking out.
