"Safe at Home!" is a 1962 sports comedy directed by Walter Doniger and starring baseball legends Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris alongside veteran actor William Frawley. When Hutch's father finds out what he's been up to, he decides to help his son out of a sticky situation by posing as a famous baseball scout and tricking Mantle and Maris into coming to Hutch's school.

The movie is notable for featuring Mantle and Maris as themselves, as well as for being filmed on location at Yankee Stadium. Mantle was arguably the most famous baseball player of the era, having won three MVP awards and playing in 16 All-Star games at the time of the movie's release. Maris was also a highly accomplished player, having broken Babe Ruth's single-season home run record in 1961 (a record that would stand for 37 years).
