The first half of the movie is filled with Sudhindra's love story, which is portrayed within the beautiful landscapes of Bengal. The narrative of his love story is so beautiful that it touches the heart of the viewers. Soumitra Chatterjee's acting is spot on, as he portrays Sudhindra Bose's character with ease, creating a beautiful rendition of a scared old man.

In the second half of the movie, Radhika Apte was able to deliver a show-stealing performance. Her character, Malini, showed how strong a woman can be in a situation of crisis. Her calm yet dominating presence draws the attention of the audience. Her character arc goes from being a dependent housewife to an independent and self-reliant individual.
