In this swashbuckling rendition of the classic tale we find a young miller, who goes by the name of Hode, out poaching deer in the king's forest in order to feed his starving family. He gets caught by the evil knight Sir Miles Folcanet and is immediately brought before the sheriff Daguerre. Dagurre has a soft spot for the miller Hode and only orders a temperate punishment, but Hode still feels mistreated and insults the sheriff. He gets away and vanishes into Sherwood Forest where he meets and organizes the merry men. Now going by the name Robin Hood, he must fight the Norman hordes and stop the wicked Daguerre from marrying his one true love, the maid Mariane
