Watch Roam Sweet Home

Roam Sweet Home is a documentary feature about the adventures of filmmaker Emily Spiro and her dog Sam as they join a group of retired wanderers on their aimless journey across the American landscape. Spiro attempts to find out the motivation of these people who reject the traditional American way of living, casting aside encumberments and material possessions to travel without anything tying them down. The film uses the gimmick of having the narration provided by Sam, who gives us the canine perspective on the weird ways that humans chose to live.
