Resident Evil: Damnation is a 2012 movie that is a sequel to the 2008 film, Resident Evil: Degeneration. Directed by Makoto Kamiya, the movie features stunning graphics, a compelling storyline, and great voice acting from the likes of Matthew Mercer, Dave Wittenberg, and Wendee Lee. The movie opens with a prologue that sets up the story as we see a woman reporting that the Eastern Slav Republic is developing biological weapons, which may pose a threat to global peace. This leads us to Leon S Kennedy, the protagonist of the movie who is tasked with investigating the situation in the Republic.

On arrival, Leon finds that things are not as they seem, and the Republic is embroiled in a civil war. Making matters worse, a new breed of BOWs-- bio-organic weapons, known as "Lickers," are wreaking havoc, terrorizing humans and government forces alike. Leon teams up with a group of rebels led by Alexander "Sasha" Kozachenko and makes his way deep into the Republic to face off against the Lickers and uncover the truth.

As Leon delves deeper, he discovers that the government is working on a new type of BOW called the Plagas, which they hope to sell to the highest bidder as a weapon of mass destruction. This poses a danger to the entire world, and thus Leon, Sasha, and their team must put an end to the government's plans.

The film also introduces Ada Wong, who is Leon's love interest and a spy working for a rival organization. Ada's intentions are always mysterious and unclear, and her appearance adds a layer of intrigue to the story that keeps the audience guessing.

One of the most notable things about Resident Evil: Damnation is its gorgeous visuals. The animation is top-notch and gives every action sequence the weight and intensity it deserves. The depiction of creatures such as the Lickers and Plaga is exceptionally well done, with their terrifying designs adding to the overall atmosphere of the movie. The voice acting is also superb, with each actor bringing their character to life with enthusiasm and skill, making the story that much more immersive.

Resident Evil: Damnation is not only a sequel to 2008's Resident Evil: Degeneration; it is also a standalone movie that can be enjoyed by anyone. The plot is well written, and the action sequences are both thrilling and visually stunning. With a running time of just under 100 minutes, the movie keeps the audience engaged from beginning to end.
