Ready to Run is a heartwarming Disney TV movie from the year 2000. The film stars Krystle Po as Corrie Ortiz, an exceptionally gifted young runner from New Mexico. Corrie has been training for years to win the Albuquerque Aztex 10K race, and she's determined to achieve her dream. However, when Corrie's mother gets a new job in Australia, she's forced to leave behind her friends, her coach, and her beloved horse, Thunder Jam.

Once in Australia, Corrie is shocked to find out that her mother has taken a job at a rundown equestrian center owned by the stern and demanding Mr. Peters (played by Kevin McNulty). Despite her disappointment, Corrie soon discovers that the equestrian center is home to a stable of beautiful and talented horses, including a spirited thoroughbred named Prince of Thieves. Corrie quickly befriends the horse, and soon learns that Prince of Thieves used to be a champion racehorse in his own right, but a serious leg injury had forced him into retirement.

With her natural talent for running, and her deep love for Prince of Thieves, Corrie decides to enter the Sydney 10K, one of the toughest races in Australia, and to race against some of the best runners in the country. However, before she can start training, Corrie must first earn the trust and respect of the equestrian center's tough and no-nonsense head trainer, Hannah (played by Lillian Hurst).

Luckily, Corrie makes a friend in Mick (played by Jason Dohring), Hannah's son, who shares her passion for running and horse riding. Together, the two young athletes form a close bond that will help them overcome the many obstacles that lie ahead, from training setbacks to personal struggles.

The movie successfully showcases the beautiful Australian countryside, and the equestrian center's breathtaking surroundings add to the film's appeal. The audience will enjoy the stunning panoramic shots of the Australian landscape, and the lush green eucalyptus trees that provide the perfect scenery for a movie about horseback riding and running.

The film's plot moves at a steady pace, and the relationship that develops between Corrie and Prince of Thieves is heartwarming and believable. The young actress Krystle Po shines in the lead role of Corrie, and she brings an effortless charm and relatability to the character. Her chemistry with Jason Dohring, who plays Micky, is a highlight of the movie, and their supporting performances are strong enough to flesh out the story.

Overall, Ready to Run is an uplifting film that will appeal to anyone who loves horses, running, or underdog stories. The movie has some good life lessons for children about persistence, dedication, and learning from your mistakes, as Corrie navigates the challenges of a new country, a new sport, and a new horse.

In the end, the story revolves around the main theme, which is the importance of determination and courage in achieving one's goals. The film inspires its viewers to pursue their dreams and never give up, even in the face of adversity. Ready to Run is an honest, inspiring film that will appeal both to young children and adults alike.
