Watch Rain Fall

Rain Fall is an Australian Japanese crime action thriller movie that was written and directed by Max Mannix, based upon Dance of the Dragon by Barry Eisler. The movie features Gary Oldman, Kippei Shiina and Kyoko Hasegawa. The story follows the notorious John Rain (played by Kippei Shiina). He is a former CIA agent and very accomplished martial artist. As an expert at unsuspecting assassinations, he has always been able to very easily avert any attention so that no one ever suspects that there is any wrongdoing when in actuality, there have been many murders.

Rain is also very good at always keeping at least one step or more ahead of his adversaries at all times. It is also believed that he is working with North Korean officials to wrest control from the sleazy bureaucrats and gangsters in Japan who have been orchestrating a web of corruption behind the scenes. However, unbeknownst to them, all of their evil actions have been very diligently recorded in secret by all of those who wants to bring them to justice.

The intent of the group working against the bureaucratic gangsters is to leak their information to the press as quickly as possible. During a subway trip to meet with the reporter, an official is killed. However, it appears that the man has had a heart attack. Soon, the deceased official's daughters are also in danger.

Meanwhile, both the Yakuza city police and the CIA are very anxious to obtain the disk that contains all of this damning evidence. They are willing to accomplish this by any means. However, John Rain is intent upon ensuring that this does not happen. It is suspected that he is the one who is in possession of the incriminating evidence and technology. No one seems to be aware of just how Rain actually fits into the situation, let alone how they are going to manage to solve it.

Rain Fall is a 2009 thriller with a runtime of 1 hour and 51 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 4.6.
