Manuela has always dreamed of joining a top fashion design company in Mexico, but has found her way blocked by the fact she is a woman and most design houses want male designers for their brands. Eventually, Manuela transforms herself into a male version of herself, Manuelito, who immediately finds a job with a top design house. Manuelito's boss, Miguel, offers him a room in his apartment and struggles to come to terms with the fact he is falling in love with a roommate he thinks of as a man.
