Jack is a young sparrow who has spent the better part of his young life wishing he could be somebody else. All day he looks at other birds and sees them as being more fascinating than he is. One day his wish comes true to some extent, after Jack gets splashed with some paint, and he ends up thinking of himself as a new species of bird. He soon meets a young bird named Aurora. Aurora is a yellow canary who has been locked up her entire life and has harbored the great desire to break free and fly away.
