Pinching Penny is a crime-comedy movie that was released in 2011. The movie was directed by Dan Glaser and produced by Kevin Nolting. It stars Steven Molony, Timothy J. Meyer, and Maddisyn Carter in the leading roles. The movie is set in the town of Elkerton, where a group of petty criminals including Penny (Maddisyn Carter), Frank (Steven Molony), and Tyrell (Timothy J. Meyer) operate a small-time loan sharking operation. The trio is searching for the next mark to pay off their debts.

Penny is Frank's girlfriend, and she is the brains of the operation. She uses her charm and street smarts to lure in unsuspecting victims who are in dire need of quick money. Frank is Penny's boyfriend who is always ready to use his muscle to ensure that the customers pay back on time. Tyrell is another member of the gang who helps Penny and Frank in their business.

The movie opens with a new customer, an aspiring rapper named Yusuf (Sammy Reikia), who approaches the gang for a loan to help him record his album. The trio sees this as a golden opportunity to make some quick cash, and they lend him the money he needs. However, when Yusuf fails to pay back, Frank and Tyrell are sent to collect the money, and they encounter some unexpected twists and turns along the way.

One of the gang's regular customers, Lenny (Timothy Oman), has also been unable to repay his debts. Frank approaches Lenny's girlfriend, Julie (Shelby Fenner), and offers her a deal. In exchange for wiping Lenny's slate clean, Frank asks Julie to help him rob a local drug dealer named Sal (David P. Emrich). Julie agrees, and the group of criminals comes up with a plan to rob Sal's stash.

However, as they move forward with the robbery, things start to go wrong, and the gang finds themselves in a deadly game of cat and mouse with Sal and his associates.

Overall, Pinching Penny is a lighthearted crime-comedy movie with a small-town feel. The movie's strength lies in the characters who are colorful and quirky. While the plot is predictable at times, the humor and the chemistry between the actors make up for it. The movie has some decent action sequences, but it never takes itself too seriously.

The performances by the lead actors are noteworthy. Steven Molony, as Frank, brings a good mix of toughness and humor to his role. Maddisyn Carter, as Penny, is effortlessly charming and convincing as the streetwise small town girl. Timothy J. Meyer, as Tyrell, is the perfect foil to Frank, and his deadpan delivery is hilarious.

The supporting cast, including Shelby Fenner and Sammy Reikia, also delivers strong performances, and their characters add depth to the story.

The movie's directing is adequate. The pacing is a bit slow in the beginning, but it picks up as the story progresses. The movie's low budget is evident in some of the visuals, but the sound quality and editing are decent.

Overall, Pinching Penny is an enjoyable crime-comedy movie that is worth a watch. If you're in the mood for a light-hearted movie with a bit of suspense, Pinching Penny might just be the perfect fit.
