Watch Picture Bride

Sixteen year old Riyo is a newly orphaned girl living in urban Japan. Her aunt arranges a betrothal by mail to Matsuji, a farmer in Hawaii. Riyo agrees after they two exchange photographs but when she arrives in Hawaii she finds out that he sent an old picture and is actually twice her age. Now the homesick and lonely young Riyo must adapt to harsh new life working in the sugar cane fields and a marriage to a stranger.
