Phat Beach is a 1996 American comedy film that follows two best friends, Benny (Jermaine Hopkins) and Durrell (Brian Hooks), on a wild adventure to impress girls and ultimately save the family business. The movie is set in Los Angeles, where the boys live, and where they are introduced to a world of parties and beautiful women. The story starts with Benny and Durrell facing a big problem - their family's business, a popular beachside sandwich shop, has fallen on hard times. The two friends need to come up with a plan to make some money to save the business from closing. They decide to throw a beach party to attract people and make some quick cash.

The party idea seems great at first, but Benny and Durrell quickly realize that they are in over their heads. They don't have enough money to pay for everything that they need for the party, and they don't have enough promotion to get the word out to people. However, with a stroke of luck, they stumble upon a beautiful girl named Luscious (Claudia Kaleem) who has connections to a local nightclub promoter, Winchell (Coolio). With Winchell's help, they are able to turn their small beach party into a huge event, attracting tons of people from all over the city.

As the party is in full swing, Benny and Durrell become distracted by the beautiful women, drugs, and good times. However, things take a turn for the worse when a local gangster, Stubbs (Beau Billingslea), shows up to collect unpaid debts from Benny's father, who had borrowed money to keep the business afloat. Stubbs threatens to shut down the party and harm Benny's family if he doesn't give him the money that he's owed.

Benny and Durrell are forced to think quickly and come up with a plan to save the party and the family business. With the help of Luscious, they concoct a plan to get the money that Stubbs needs, while also impressing the girl of Benny's dreams, Ashantee (Faizon Love).

The rest of the movie follows Benny and Durrell as they try to pull off their plan without getting caught by Stubbs. They face several humorous obstacles and setbacks along the way, leading to hilarious situations that keep the audience on the edge of their seats.
