Watch Pedar

This is a dramatic movie about a boy who must support his family after his father dies. Mehrollah’s father dies when he is 14. He is now responsible for supporting his mother and sisters. He travels from the small village where they live to the south of Iraq to find work. When he returns, his mother has remarried and moved to the man’s house. The boy is insulted and shocked. He feels his mother should have trusted him to take care of the family.

This movie is about the fight between Mehrollah and his new step-father. They must learn to live together if there is to be peace in the family.
