Set in 1950s Paris, this French film is a modern retelling of the classic Greek myth. Orpheus is a man smitten by a limousine radio, which speaks poetry to him that haunts his every waking moment. The middle section of what's called "the Orphic trilogy", this film is an evocative piece. The limousine poems call back to the French Resistance broadcasts of WW2 (a scant five years before this film's release), and Orpheus' love affair with Death and his wife Eurydice is a unique spin on an ancient myth.

Orpheus is a 1950 romance movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 35 minutes. It has received mostly positive reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 7.9.
