Opapatika is a dark and suspenseful supernatural thriller movie directed by Thanakorn Pongsuwan in 2007. The movie revolves around five Opapatika, ancient beings with supernatural powers who have lived for thousands of years. The Opapatika are searching for a unique mortal who can help them gain freedom from the cycle of birth and death.

The movie begins with their search for a mortal. As they travel in the city, we get an insight into their personalities and their powers. Each of the Opapatika has a unique ability like teleportation, mind control, shape-shifting, invisibility, and regeneration. However, they are bound by the rules of the universe, which includes not interfering with human lives, and not using their powers to hurt others.

Soon, the Opapatika encounter a mortal named Somchai, played by Somchai Kemglad, who is a hitman in Bangkok. He is a ruthless criminal, and his conscience has been numbed by years of violence and bloodshed. However, he is different from others in the criminal world, and he has his own moral code. Somchai is hired by five people to kill each other, and he agrees to do the job for a large sum of money.

Somchai's encounter with the Opapatika transforms his life. He is given a chance to redeem himself by helping them end their sufferings. However, his past deeds haunt him, and he is torn between his selfish desires and his redemption. As he starts working with the Opapatika, he learns their secrets and their weaknesses.

Shahkrit Yamnarm plays the role of Nop, an Opapatika who can control human minds. Nop was once a monk and has a secret past. Leo Putt plays the role of Riang, an Opapatika who can teleport, and he has a bitter past himself. Apart from Somchai, the other two main characters in the movie are Nam, played by Athip Nana, who is an investigative reporter, and Tiwa, played by Ray MacDonald, who is a cop.

The plot thickens as the Opapatika is pursued by Tiwa and Nam, who try to uncover their secret mission. The story is suspenseful and keeps the audience on the edge of their seats. The action scenes are well choreographed, and the special effects are impressive. Moreover, the cinematography is stunning and captures the beauty of Bangkok.

One of the highlights of the movie is the performances of the actors. Somchai Kemglad delivers a powerful performance as the hitman, who is given a chance to redeem himself. Shahkrit Yamnarm and Leo Putt also give memorable performances as the ancient beings, who are tired of their existence.

Overall, Opapatika is an exceptional and well-executed movie. It is a unique story that combines action, suspense, and supernatural elements, and audiences are sure to be entertained. The movie is not for the faint of heart, as it deals with themes of redemption, betrayal, and violence. Nonetheless, it is a must-watch for those who enjoy thriller movies that are not afraid to explore the darker side of humanity.

Opapatika is a 2008 horror movie. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 4.2.
