In the movie OMKARA, we are drawn into the corrupt and violent world of Indian politics, where powerful individuals use any means possible to assert their dominance. The film opens with a group of men discussing an upcoming election and the importance of securing votes from the lower castes. The leader of the group, Bhaisaab (played by Naseeruddin Shah), is determined to maintain his grip on power and is willing to do whatever it takes to win the election.

The story then focuses on Omkara (Ajay Devgn), a loyal and trusted lieutenant of Bhaisaab. Omkara is a man of few words, but commands respect and admiration from those around him. He is tasked with choosing a candidate for the election, and selects Kesu (Vivek Oberoi), a young man from a lower caste who has caught his eye.

However, not everyone is happy with Kesu's selection. One of Omkara's other subordinates, Langda (Saif Ali Khan), is jealous and resentful of Kesu and begins to plot against him. Langda is a devious and manipulative man, who uses any means necessary to achieve his own ends, including lies, betrayal, and even murder.

Adding to the already tense situation is Dolly (Kareena Kapoor), Omkara's love interest. Dolly is a willful and independent woman, who is not content to be a mere political pawn. Her presence further complicates matters, as Langda becomes fixated on her, hoping to use her to further his own ambitions.

As the election draws nearer, tensions rise and loyalties are tested. Omkara finds himself increasingly caught between his loyalty to Bhaisaab and his love for Dolly, while Kesu becomes the unwitting victim of Langda's vicious schemes. The film builds to a powerful climax, as Omkara and his associates are forced to confront the violent and corrupt world they live in.

The performances in OMKARA are uniformly excellent. Ajay Devgn is outstanding as Omkara, conveying a powerful sense of quiet intensity that draws the viewer in. Kareena Kapoor is equally impressive as Dolly, bringing a fierce determination to her role that makes her a compelling presence on screen. Saif Ali Khan is also excellent as Langda, delivering a charismatic and chilling performance that steals the show.

The film is also visually striking, with director Vishal Bhardwaj making great use of the stunning Indian landscape to create a sense of both beauty and danger. The soundtrack is also superb, with memorable songs and music that add to the film's haunting and atmospheric feel.

Overall, OMKARA is an excellent film that explores the dark side of Indian politics with intelligence and insight. It's a gripping and powerful drama, with excellent performances and visuals that make it a must-see for fans of Indian cinema.

OMKARA is a crime movie with a runtime of 2 hours and 32 minutes. It has received mostly positive reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 8.0.
