Oh My Ghost is a Thai horror-comedy film released in 2013. The movie revolves around the character of Jiew, played by Sudarat Butrprom, who works as a cook in a restaurant. Jiew is known for her delicious food, but her shy and timid nature has kept her love life at bay. She has a crush on a regular customer, Artit, but is too scared to even talk to him.
One day, Jiew accidentally cuts herself while cooking and dies due to excessive bleeding. Her spirit remains trapped in the restaurant, and she becomes a ghost. However, instead of moving on, Jiew's ghost continues to linger in the restaurant because of her unrequited love for Artit.
As a ghost, Jiew has the ability to possess the bodies of other people. She uses this power to possess the body of Artit's new girlfriend, who is a serial dater and has no real feelings for Artit. Jiew hopes that by being in the body of Artit's girlfriend, she can win his heart and make him fall in love with her.
Meanwhile, Kohtee Aramboy plays the character of a shaman named Joke, who has been roped in by the restaurant owner to exorcise the ghost that's haunting the place. However, things take an unexpected turn when Joke realizes that the ghost is actually Jiew, the cute and shy cook that he had a crush on when she was alive.
Joke decides to help Jiew instead of exorcising her, as he wants to make sure that Jiew's spirit moves on to the afterlife. Over time, Joke and Jiew become good friends, and Joke uses his shamanic powers to help Jiew achieve her goal of winning Artit's heart.
Kom Chauncheun plays the character of Bua, Jiew's best friend and coworker. Bua is initially confused by Jiew's disappearance from the restaurant but soon realizes that she has turned into a ghost. Bua is supportive of Jiew's spirit and tries to help her in any way possible.
Oh My Ghost is a movie that blends horror and comedy quite well. The ghostly elements and horror sequences are quite chilling and scary, but the movie is also full of laugh-out-loud moments that will leave the audience in splits. The movie's romantic angle between Jiew and Artit is also quite endearing and heartwarming.
The performances of the actors are top-notch, with Sudarat Butrprom standing out as the shy and cute Jiew who turns into a vengeful ghost. Kohtee Aramboy is also impressive as Joke, the shaman who helps Jiew, and the chemistry between the two actors is quite palpable. Kom Chauncheun provides the comic relief in the movie and is quite entertaining in her role.
The movie's soundtrack is also noteworthy, with the songs fitting quite well with the feel and mood of the film. The movie's production design is also worth mentioning, with the restaurant setting and the ghostly elements being created quite well.
Overall, Oh My Ghost is a movie that will appeal to fans of horror-comedies. The movie's blend of horror, comedy, and romance is quite unique, and the performances and production values are all top-notch. The movie's message of moving on and letting go of past attachments is also quite relevant and poignant.
