Michael Padovic is an ordinary American professor in search of proof that will prove one of his many theories. It is his belief that William Shakespeare was actually born in the country of Spain and not England. On a journey to find the documents he needs, him and his wife travel to a Portuguese convent where he believes he will finally find the truth and the means to prove it to the rest of the world.
