He later comes back to the same store and tries to deceive the other cashier on duty. A guy known as Marcos comes in and pretends to be a cop. He forcefully takes Juan away. At a good distance from the shop, he reveals to Juan that he is also a cheat.

Juan explains to Marcos that he needs to raise money to corrupt a judge so he can reduce his father's sentence. Marcos meets his friend Sandler. Sandler has fake copies of some rare stamps known as The Nine Queens which he has to sell. He tells Marcos that the owner of the stamps is a Spaniard guy called Gandolfo. Gandolfo faces the risk of being deported. He wants to smuggle all his possessions out of the country as soon as possible. He is so busy that he hires a stamp expert to check if the stamps are genuine. The expert lies they are real.

Juan and Marcos accept to exchange the stamps for money. In the course of their transaction some criminals steal the stamps from them. He offers her a huge sum of money in exchange for the stamps.
