Nine Lives of Christmas is a 2014 romantic comedy film directed by Mark Jean. Based on the novel "The Nine Lives of Christmas" by Sheila Roberts, the movie stars Brandon Routh as Zachary Stone, a handsome and confident firefighter who is not interested in settling down. On the other hand, Kimberley Sustad plays Marilee White, a struggling pet store owner who has everything planned out for her life except for love.

The movie starts with an introduction to Zachary Stone, a firefighter who is a bit of a playboy. He lives in a bachelor pad with his cat, Ambrose, and spends his free time cruising around on his motorcycle. Meanwhile, Marilee White is a workaholic who runs a pet store that is barely staying afloat. She works long hours and has no time for romance.

One day, while out shopping for a Christmas tree, Marilee meets Zachary, who is looking for a tree for his firehouse. As fate would have it, they end up getting the last tree on the lot, and Zachary offers to help Marilee carry it to her car. Sparks fly between the two, but they go their separate ways.

A few days later, Marilee's cat, Ambrose, wanders onto Zachary's doorstep, and the firefighter decides to take care of him. From this point on, Ambrose becomes the matchmaker between Marilee and Zachary, and the two start to get to know each other better. Zachary agrees to help Marilee with her store's Christmas window display, and as they work together, they slowly start to fall for each other.

However, Zachary's commitment phobia and Marilee's fear of getting hurt threaten to keep them apart. To make matters worse, Marilee's ex-boyfriend shows up, trying to win her back. Zachary's ex-girlfriend also comes back into his life, attempting to rekindle their relationship.

As Christmas approaches, Marilee and Zachary must both decide if they are ready to take a chance on love. With the help of the people around them, they confront their fears and take the leap. The movie ends with a heartwarming Christmas celebration, where Marilee and Zachary are surrounded by loved ones, including Ambrose the cat.

Nine Lives of Christmas is a sweet and charming movie that perfectly captures the holiday spirit. The chemistry between Brandon Routh and Kimberley Sustad is undeniable, and their characters' journey towards love is endearing. The supporting cast, including Stephanie Bennett as Zachary's ex-girlfriend, and Gregory Harrison as Marilee's boss, also do a great job in their respective roles.

The film's setting in the beautiful city of Vancouver adds to its charm. The Christmas decorations, lights, and snow create a perfect holiday atmosphere that viewers will enjoy. The soundtrack of the movie complements the story well, with songs that reflect the romance and emotions of the characters.

Overall, Nine Lives of Christmas is a heartwarming and uplifting movie that is perfect for the holiday season. It is a movie that will leave you feeling good and with a smile on your face.
