Nightbeast is a classic horror movie from 1982 that is sure to chill your bones and leave you on the edge of your seat. Directed by cult horror filmmaker Don Dohler, Nightbeast is a low-budget creature feature that follows the story of an alien creature that crash-lands on Earth, and the ensuing chaos that ensues. The film opens with a spaceship entering the Earth's atmosphere and crash-landing in a rural Maryland town. The local sheriff, Jack Cinder (played by Tom Griffith), is immediately dispatched to investigate the crash site, and he brings along a team of deputies to assist him. When they arrive, they find the spaceship completely destroyed, and they are unable to locate any survivors. However, they soon discover that they are not alone, as an alien creature has also survived the crash and is now loose in the surrounding wilderness.

As the film progresses, we learn that the alien creature is on a mission to gather genetic material from humans, and it is using a laser gun to kill anyone in its path. The creature is also incredibly strong and can easily overpower anyone who tries to stop it. We see the alien wreak havoc on the small town, attacking people at random and leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.

The film's central protagonist is Sheriff Cinder, who is determined to put an end to the creature's rampage. Along the way, he teams up with local doctor Ruth Sherman (played by Karin Kardian) and her friend Jamie Lambert (played by Jamie Zemarel), and the three of them work together to try to track down the alien and stop it before it can cause any more harm.

The film is a classic '80s horror movie, and it is filled with all of the cheesy, over-the-top elements that make the genre so fun to watch. The creature itself is a classic "man in a rubber suit" creation, and while it may not look all that impressive by today's standards, it certainly gets the job done in terms of providing some creepy thrills.

One of the most enjoyable things about Nightbeast is the sense of community that the film portrays. The small town setting allows for a diverse cast of characters to be introduced, and we get a sense of what life is like in this tight-knit community. There are moments of humor and levity that provide a nice counterbalance to the horror elements, and it's clear that the filmmakers were having fun with the material.

Overall, Nightbeast is a fun, low-budget horror flick that is sure to appeal to fans of the genre. While it may not be the most polished or sophisticated film out there, it has a certain charm and energy that make it worth checking out. If you're in the mood for some B-movie thrills and spills, then Nightbeast is the perfect choice for your next movie night.

Nightbeast is a 2004 horror movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 30 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 4.2.
