Wu Hongyan works in a prison where she watches over the executions of violent female offenders. She is lonely after the death of her husband and decides to join a dating service. In order to do so, she must travel to another city. She has a string of dates with different men, but none of them is successful. When she finds a man who she connects with, she feels he has something to hide. Indeed, he does and there is a 50/50 chance that it could be deadly for her.
