Night School is a 2018 comedy film directed by Malcolm D. Lee and starring Kevin Hart, Tiffany Haddish, and Rob Riggle. The movie follows the story of Teddy Walker (Kevin Hart), a successful barbecue grill salesman who, after accidentally blowing up his store, finds himself without a job and in need of a new career. Despite his efforts to hide the fact that he didn't graduate high school, Teddy is caught by his girlfriend Lisa (Megalyn Echikunwoke), who breaks up with him as a result.

Desperate to win Lisa back, Teddy decides to go back to school and get his General Equivalency Diploma (GED). He enrolls in night school at his old high school, but his class is far from what he expected. Alongside Teddy are his classmates: Mackenzie (Rob Riggle), a former stay-at-home dad who wants to get back into the workforce; Theresa (Mary Lynn Rajskub), a young single mother trying to finish high school so she can get a better job and take care of her son; Jaylen (Romany Malco), a conspiracy theorist who believes the government is spying on him; Mila (Anne Winters), a rebellious teenager who refuses to attend regular school; and Luis (Al Madrigal), a meathead who wants to impress his younger girlfriend by getting his GED.

However, Teddy's biggest challenge comes in the form of his teacher, Carrie (Tiffany Haddish). A tough-love educator with a no-nonsense attitude, Carrie is determined to help her students succeed, even if it means pushing them to their limits. With her unconventional teaching methods, Carrie puts Teddy and his classmates to the test, forcing them to confront their fears and overcome their obstacles.

As the class progresses, Teddy begins to discover more about himself and the struggles he has been avoiding. Through the help of his night school classmates, Teddy starts to gain confidence and become more self-aware, which ultimately leads him on a new path of self-discovery.
