An unnamed man (a local recruit from Newark) juggles Indian clubs in one of the first of W.K.L. Dickson's many films shot to demonstrate the possibilities of the young medium. Inducted into the National Film Registry in 2010 for perpetual preservation, its blink-and-you'll-miss-it fragmentary status belies its extreme significance to film history and its role in the birth of what would become today's ubiquitous video culture.
