In Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, we are reunited with our favorite couple from the first movie, Mac (Seth Rogen) and Kelly (Rose Byrne), as they prepare to sell their house and move to the suburbs in hopes of providing a better life for their growing family. However, just as they think they are in the clear and have found buyers for their house, a new sorority moves in next door, threatening to ruin their plans.

The Kappa Nu sorority is led by Shelby (Chloe Grace Moretz), who has formed the group in response to the sexist and oppressive rules of the fraternity system. Shelby and her fellow Kappa Nu sisters, Beth (Kiersey Clemons) and Nora (Beanie Feldstein), are determined to create a new kind of party culture that is inclusive and empowering for women.

At first, Mac and Kelly try to be tolerant of their new neighbors, even attending one of their parties in order to seem cool and make a good impression. But their understanding quickly ends when they realize the wild parties the Kappa Nu sorority throws are just as loud and disruptive as the fraternity parties they had to deal with in the previous movie.

Mac and Kelly decide to call in the big guns: their former neighbor and nemesis, Teddy (Zac Efron). Teddy has hit rock bottom after losing his job and getting kicked out of his own fraternity, so he is looking for a new purpose. Mac convinces him to help them take down the sorority and stop their never-ending partying.

As the war between the neighboring households heats up, both sides must navigate the challenges of growing up and leaving behind their wild college days. The Kappa Nu sisters struggle to balance their desire for empowerment and sisterhood with the responsibility of maintaining a safe space for themselves and others. Meanwhile, Mac and Kelly learn to let go of their younger selves and embrace a more mature lifestyle, while Teddy searches for a new sense of purpose and identity outside of the fraternity system that defined him for so long.

Neighborhood 2: Sorority Rising is a hilarious and touching sequel that showcases the strong chemistry between Rogen, Byrne, and Efron. The film tackles important issues such as sexism and the impact of party culture on college campuses with a light touch, making the movie both entertaining and thought-provoking. Fans of the first film will not be disappointed, and newcomers to the series will quickly fall in love with the zany and relatable characters.

Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising is a 2016 comedy with a runtime of 1 hour and 32 minutes. It has received moderate reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 5.7 and a MetaScore of 58.
