Namour is an independent film that was released in 2016 directed by Heidi Saman. The movie follows the journey of Steven, played by Karim Saleh, an aspiring artist and LA waiter who is struggling to find his place in the world. He lives with his family, consisting of his mother and two siblings, in a small apartment in West Hollywood.

The story takes place during the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis when Steven's dreams of becoming an artist have been shattered due to the economic downturn. He works long hours as a waiter at an upscale restaurant and is barely able to make ends meet.

Throughout the movie, Steven's life becomes more and more complicated. His father is having an affair which his mother discovers, causing a rift in their family. Steven also becomes entangled in a love triangle with two women, one of whom is the girlfriend of his boss at the restaurant. He is torn between his heart and his career, struggling to balance his emotions and his duty to support his family.

The film portrays a very real and raw version of the American Dream. Steven is determined to live the life he has always wanted, but as he watches his life spiral out of control, he begins to question whether or not it is worth it. The director does an amazing job capturing the tension of the time, and how the financial crisis affected everyone including those who were least prepared for it.

The overall cinematography of the movie is excellent, with many scenes capturing a sense of urban grittiness and melancholy. The portrayal of Los Angeles is unique, offering a candid look at the challenges of living in a city known for its glamour and excess.

What makes the movie even more impressive is the acting by the entire cast. Karim Saleh gives an outstanding performance as Steven, perfectly capturing the character's struggle to find meaning and purpose amidst personal hardship. Waleed Zuaiter, who plays the role of Steven's boss, is equally impressive, managing to be both charismatic and manipulative at the same time.

In addition to the great performances, the movie also features a fantastic musical score that perfectly captures the mood of each scene. The various tracks used throughout the film are a great complement to the overall tone of the movie.

Namour is a thought-provoking movie that examines the struggles of everyday people in a time when the American Dream is fading away. The film's honest portrayal of the human experience, combined with its excellent cinematography and standout performances, make it a must-see for anyone looking for a movie that is both raw and authentic.

Namour is a 2016 drama with a runtime of 1 hour and 20 minutes. It has received mostly positive reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.7.
