The movie follows the love story of a British Indian girl, Jasmeet or Jazz (Katrina Kaif), and an Indian guy, Arjun (Akshay Kumar), who grew up in Punjab. They met for the first time in India, and despite their initial dislike for each other, they eventually fall in love. However, Jasmeet's parents, Mr. (Rishi Kapoor) and Mrs. Malhotra, are strongly against their relationship because they want her to marry a wealthy British-Indian man who will lead a luxurious life with her in London.
The plot revolves around Arjun's attempts to win over Jasmeet's parents and convince them that he can provide a good life for their daughter. Arjun and his friend, Parvez (played by Javed Sheikh), disguise themselves as interior decorators and get hired by Charlie to decorate his house. They use this opportunity to get close to Jasmeet and convince her to leave her husband and return to India with Arjun. However, things do not go as planned, and the story takes a dramatic turn.
