The 2011 South Korean war film 'My Way' depicts the story of a man forced to enlist in World War II in spite of having personal dreams of his own. Jun Shik is a young man who works on his friend Tatsuo's grandfathers' farm. Jun Shik has one goal in mind--to compete in the Tokyo Olympics as a marathon runner. Like Jun Shik, Tatsuo also has this dream, and as one might imagine this sparks much rivalry and competition between the two men. However, both mens' plans are interrupted with the start of the second world war and they both enlist in the army.
Inspired by the true story of Yang Kyoungjong, this film is a testament to the bravery and perseverance that is so often displayed in those who fight in wars.
My Way is a 2011 comedy with a runtime of 1 hour and 59 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.0 and a MetaScore of 41.
