As Joe investigates the case, he stumbles from one mishap to the next. He poses as a waiter at a fancy party in order to get close to Shantipriya's boyfriend, but ends up getting drunk and causing a scene. He tries to track down Carlos by following his girlfriend, but ends up getting stranded in the middle of nowhere with no cell phone reception.

Despite all of his fumbling, Joe eventually manages to solve the case and rescue Shantipriya. The final showdown between Joe and Carlos is filled with ridiculous action and over-the-top stunts. In the end, Joe's bumbling incompetence somehow manages to save the day.

Overall, Mr Joe B. Carvalho is a light-hearted and entertaining comedy that doesn't take itself too seriously. Arshad Warsi delivers a standout performance as the hapless detective, and the supporting cast is equally impressive.
