In the 2018 comedy-drama film Moms at War, two mothers with vastly different personalities and parenting styles are pitted against each other when their children, who attend the same prestigious school, get into a brawl. The movie stars Tomi Adeoye and Lilian Afegbai as the titular moms, and Funke Akindele as the school principal. The movie begins by introducing us to Olaide (Tomi Adeoye), a disciplinarian and a perfectionist who takes great pride in her daughter's academic achievements. She is contrasted with Ebubechukwu (Lilian Afegbai), a free-spirited and carefree mother who believes in letting her child learn from their own mistakes rather than constantly breathing down their neck.

The two women's paths cross when their children are involved in a fight during a school event. Seeing this as an opportunity to prove their superiority as mothers, they both decide to participate in a school competition that tests their parenting skills. The competition involves a series of tasks ranging from cooking to physical fitness, and the winner will have the honor of the school naming its new cafeteria after their child.

As the competition progresses, the two women engage in various antics to try and gain an advantage over each other. Olaide, for example, decides to secretly pump her daughter full of vitamins and supplements to ensure that she is in top form for the physical challenges. Ebubechukwu, on the other hand, tries to woo the judges with her excellent cooking skills, but soon realizes that she may have bitten off more than she can chew.

Although the competition is meant to be friendly, things quickly start to get personal between the two women as they engage in a war of words and actions. Olaide, in particular, becomes increasingly ruthless in her pursuit of victory, going so far as to sabotage Ebubechukwu's chances.

As the movie progresses, however, the two women begin to realize that their obsession with winning is causing them to neglect their children's emotional wellbeing. Olaide, who is so intent on her daughter's academic success, is completely unaware of the fact that her child is struggling with severe anxiety. Ebubechukwu, who often prioritizes her own happiness over her daughter's needs, learns that her child is feeling neglected and unsupported.

The two women eventually put their differences aside and come together to help their children. They realize that while they may have different approaches to parenting, they both share the same goal: to raise happy and well-adjusted children.

Overall, Moms at War is a heartwarming and humorous movie that highlights the challenges of modern-day parenting. The movie does a great job of showing how even the best intentions can be misguided, and how parents need to be flexible and open to learning from their mistakes. The chemistry between the three lead actresses is fantastic, and their performances are both comedic and heartfelt. Moms at War is a must-watch for anyone who has ever struggled with balancing their desire to be the perfect parent with the messy reality of raising children.
