Mission Park is a 2013 crime thriller directed by Bryan Ramirez. The movie follows the story of four childhood friends who grew up together in San Antonio- Bobby (Jeremey Ray Valdez), Julian (Will Rothhaar), Derrick (Walter Perez), and Jason (Joseph Julian Soria). They all got different paths in life after their schooling, but their lives collide again when they come to meet each other in their personal and professional lives after several years.

Bobby is now an Assistant District Attorney, and Julian is a narcotics undercover cop working for the district attorney's office. Derrick is leading a high-profile drug cartel, while Jason is his loyal employee. Derrick's drug empire is making profits in millions of dollars, and he is known with the name 'El Lobo.' Jason, with his malicious tactics, is ensuring that the law does not disrupt the business.

The movie begins with a drug deal in which Bobby and Julian conduct an operation to arrest Derrick's gang members. The operation goes awry, and Julian is shot while Bobby apprehends one of Derrick's men. The incident causes Delia (Fernanda Romero), Derrick's girlfriend, and Bobby to get closer to each other.

As the story progresses, we see that Bobby and Julian are not on the same page regarding their taking down Derrick's cartel. Julian is using Bobby to advance his career by gaining the trust of his boss, and he feels that he can handle Derrick on his own. However, Bobby is interested in using the legal system to bring Derrick down.

On the other hand, Derrick is planning a big heist that could make him millions, and he is using Jason to do his bidding. Delia, who has grown close to Bobby, continuously warns him about Derrick and his empire. Bobby is conflicted since he cannot trust Derrick, but he does not want to put his career and life in jeopardy.

The story takes a dramatic turn when Bobby sees the darker side of Derrick, and he realizes that he must protect himself and Delia from Derrick's wrath. Bobby learns to take the law into his own hands and stop Derrick's empire at all costs.

The Mission Park movie is a dramatization of the complexities and consequences of drug empires, the ripple effects of these criminal activities on society, and the extreme measures individuals undertake to rid society of them. It shows how, in the pursuit of justice, individuals may compromise their morals and ethics, valuing their jobs, careers, and personal gains over their principles and values.

The movie also exposes the harsh truth of how the drug trade affects innocent citizens, bringing death, violence, and destruction to the community. It forces the audience to question the damaging effects of drugs on society and the motivations behind the individuals involved in these operations.

Overall, Mission Park is an intense and well-executed crime drama that explores the complexities of the drug trade and the intricate web of lives affected by it. It is a thrilling movie that will keep you on the edge of your seat and make you question the choices made by the characters. It is a must-watch for those who enjoy movies that delve into the consequences of actions and explore the limits of personal morality.

Mission Park is a 2013 crime movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 40 minutes. It has received poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 4.8 and a MetaScore of 24.
