Watch Metamorphoses

Before Japanese animation became all the rage, there was Metamorphoses. This late 1970s feature film is actually a collection of shorter animated pieces narrated by British character actor Peter Ustinov. Known by the alternate title "Winds Of Change", each segment is a telling of a famous mythological story. The tale of Roman goddess Diana and the hunter whom is transformed into a deer after incurring her wrath is one story. In another, a boy takes the sun god Apollo's firey chariot for a jaunt, ands a hero disposes of the snake headed villainess Medusa by tricking her into looking into a mirror.
