In "Mega Piranha," a group of scientists discover that the piranhas in the Amazon River have rapidly increased in size due to exposure to a dangerous chemical. When the piranhas begin to attack and destroy everything in their path, the scientists team up with the military to find a way to stop the massive fish before they wreak even more havoc.

The movie opens with a group of tourists on a boat tour through the Amazon River. They are attacked by a school of unusually large piranhas and are quickly devoured by the ravenous fish. The scene then shifts to a group of scientists led by Dr. Sarah Monroe (Tiffany) who are studying and monitoring the Amazon's wildlife. When a group of locals is also attacked by the piranhas, the scientists begin to suspect that something out of the ordinary is happening in the river.

The team soon discovers that a nearby dam is leaking a dangerous chemical into the river, causing the piranhas to mutate and rapidly increase in size. The team reports their findings to the US embassy, but their warnings are not taken seriously. Meanwhile, the piranhas continue to eat everything in their path, including boats, helicopters, and even people on land.

The US military becomes involved when a top-secret drone is attacked and destroyed by the piranhas. The team, now joined by Captain John (Paul Logan), works together to find a way to stop the piranhas before they cause even more damage. With the help of some locals and a submarine, they are able to devise a plan to stop the piranhas once and for all.

"Mega Piranha" is a ridiculous and over-the-top monster movie that is full of camp and cheesy dialogue. The acting is also quite wooden and one-dimensional, making it difficult to take the film seriously. However, for fans of B-grade horror movies, "Mega Piranha" delivers on the sheer ridiculousness and absurdity that one would expect.

The special effects are particularly noteworthy, with the piranhas themselves being hilariously bad CGI monsters that look like they were created on a low budget. The scenes of the piranhas attacking boats and helicopters are also incredibly fake-looking, but in a way that adds to the film's charm.

Despite its flaws, "Mega Piranha" is an entertaining watch for fans of the horror genre who don't mind suspending their disbelief and just enjoying the spectacle. The film's absurd plot, terrible dialogue, and CGI monsters make it a great choice for a fun and mindless movie night.

Mega Piranha is a 2010 action movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 29 minutes. It has received poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 2.4.
