In "Mega Piranha," a group of scientists discover that the piranhas in the Amazon River have rapidly increased in size due to exposure to a dangerous chemical. The movie opens with a group of tourists on a boat tour through the Amazon River. They are attacked by a school of unusually large piranhas and are quickly devoured by the ravenous fish. Meanwhile, the piranhas continue to eat everything in their path, including boats, helicopters, and even people on land.

The US military becomes involved when a top-secret drone is attacked and destroyed by the piranhas. The team, now joined by Captain John (Paul Logan), works together to find a way to stop the piranhas before they cause even more damage. With the help of some locals and a submarine, they are able to devise a plan to stop the piranhas once and for all.

"Mega Piranha" is a ridiculous and over-the-top monster movie that is full of camp and cheesy dialogue. The acting is also quite wooden and one-dimensional, making it difficult to take the film seriously. However, for fans of B-grade horror movies, "Mega Piranha" delivers on the sheer ridiculousness and absurdity that one would expect.
