From the drug use and tax issues in the late 1970s, Marvin Gaye lived in Europe for a few years before making his final comeback in 1982 with his Midnight Love album. The album won a Grammy for the hit Sexual Healing and for best male R&B performance. The film shows footage of the singer performing in the NBA All-Star game in 1983, which was his last public appearance.
