Maroc 7 is a 1967 British spy thriller directed by Gerry O'Hara and starring Gene Barry, Elsa Martinelli, and Leslie Phillips. The movie is set in Morocco and follows an American tobacco executive, Michael Scott, who is recruited by British intelligence to uncover a ring of jewel thieves. Scott is given the code name "Maroc 7" and is sent to Morocco to infiltrate the gang.

The movie opens with a heist at a jewelry store in London. The thieves, dressed in black, expertly break into the store and steal a valuable diamond necklace. The British intelligence agency believes that the gang is based in Morocco and hires Scott, a known ladies' man, to seduce the gang's female leader, Erica, and gain access to their hideout. The agency's chief warns Scott that the mission is dangerous and that he may not survive.

Scott travels to Morocco where he meets with his contact, French intelligence agent Francoise. She drives him to her villa where she introduces him to the other members of the agency team, including Leslie Phillips, who plays a British agent named Tom. Phillips provides comic relief throughout the movie and is always eager to impress his female colleagues.

Scott's mission is complicated by the fact that Erica is already involved with another man, Kharoun, who is also a member of the gang. Scott attempts to seduce Erica, but she is resistant to his advances. Instead, Scott manages to get close to Kharoun, who takes him to the gang's secret hideout in the Sahara desert.

The gang, which includes members from different countries, is fiercely loyal to their leader, Omar, who is known for his brutality. In one scene, Omar kills a member of his gang who is suspected of being a traitor.

As Scott gets closer to the gang, he learns that they are planning another heist, this time at a museum in Marrakech. The heist is meticulously planned, but Scott manages to alert the authorities in time, and the gang is caught red-handed.

In the final scene, Scott faces off against Omar in a dramatic showdown in the desert. The tension is high as Scott and Omar engage in hand-to-hand combat. The fight ends with a surprise twist that leaves the audience guessing until the end.

Overall, Maroc 7 is a well-executed spy thriller with plenty of action, drama, and suspense. The movie is beautifully shot on location in Morocco, and the costumes and set design are fantastic. Gene Barry provides a compelling performance as the suave and charismatic Michael Scott, while Elsa Martinelli is convincing as the tough and intelligent Erica. Leslie Phillips adds some humor to the movie, and the chemistry between the characters is believable.

Maroc 7 has all the ingredients of a classic spy movie, including exotic locations, beautiful women, suave spies, and dangerous villains. The movie is a must-see for fans of the genre, and even those who are not typically drawn to spy movies will find plenty to enjoy.
